Why do small independent publishers matter?

It's a question we think about when we're deciding whether to take on a new book at McNidder & Grace.

We can take an interest in subjects that might be considered too specialised elsewhere. We can work closely with authors. And we can sometimes take a chance on a book simply because we believe there's a worthwhile story to tell. And occasionally, the most specialised subjects produce the most fascinating books.

That's one of the reasons we still love independent publishing.
