John Coatsworth

Newcastle-born John Coatsworth began his career with a large photographic company and moved on to working with the Journal and the Evening Chronicle. He left in 1986 to develop his love of fine art and has been a full time painter ever since. He.attributes his passion for painting the city of his birth to the fine architecture and lively, bustling streets. Commissioned work from Newcastle Tourist Board, Tyne and Wear Museums, Fenwick’s and Newcastle/Gateshead Hilton have enabled John to embrace and develop his work further.
