Martin Barre

Martin Barre developed a passion for playing guitar and toured as part of an ever changing line up playing saxophone, flute and occasional lead guitar, touring across the UK and Europe.

He was approached to audition as lead guitarist for a well known band after responding an advertisement in ‘Melody Maker’. That band was Jethro Tull who were flying high at the time. He stayed for over forty years a mainstay of the band, always found stage left at shows.

He now fronts his own band and still maintains a heavy touring schedule in the Americas and Europe.
